This production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet was staged in 2008 by 3AM Productions. It was set in a post-apocalyptic future Verona. The theater space was created at the Grain Belt Bottling House in their open, two-story atrium. The industrial look of the space along with the found objects used for the set created an edgy harsh look. The costumes were thrift store finds deconstructed, repurposed and distressed. Stylistic elements of Renaissance costume were merged into the modern design.
